Hello, I’m Charlie.

I discovered yoga in 2016 after a difficult break-up. Since then, yoga has assisted me immensely in managing my mental health and I am so grateful for my practice.

In 2018, I decided to undertake a 200-hour yoga teacher training with Yoga London. I also completed a 60-hour yin yoga course with Sampoorna Yoga in 2021 and will be completing a Yoga in Prisons training in 2026. I teach and practise a variety of styles and maintain a consistent home practice.

I taught in secondary education from 2020-2025, taking a break within this period to pursue an MA in Performance and Culture at Goldsmiths, University of London. Having recently left teaching in a school environment, I am now a Librarian, a Notetaker and am just beginning a PhD (all on top of teaching yoga!).

I have worked and continue to work with a wide demographic of people. My classes are open to all bodies and identities.

I love dogs, a good walk, gaming and a meet-up with friends.

Get to know Charlie in five Questions:

1. What is your favourite yoga pose?

Vrischikasana (Scorpion Pose) >>>

2. How do you show kindness to others?

Acts of service. Always listening actively and generally being present when in the
company of others.

3. Are you an introvert, extrovert, or ambivert?

Introvert! I love spending time with people but equally enjoy jumping onto my
yoga mat at home for a few hours with a podcast playing in the background. I can
also be found binge-watching tv with (many) snacks or embarking on a solo
theatre trip!

4. What was the best vacation you ever took and why?

It’s a tie! In 2016 I worked with elephants for six weeks in a remote village in
Thailand. In 2018 I volunteered for a month in an animal sanctuary in Bolivia.
Both were equally memorable and were great learning experiences!

5. Do you live by any piece(s) of advice?

1. Be scared but do it anyway.
2. Fail gloriously!
3. Always acknowledge your emotions but sit with them before you act.
